3 postdoc fellows, 2 Research Assistants, and 2 Ph.D. students (Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China) in the field of Bioinformatics, Bacterial genomics, Metagenomics, Computational skills with Python/Perl/R programming, General Microbiology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Immunology.
Projects:
1) Genomic Epidemiology of Salmonella isolates.
2) Metagenomic approach in the understanding of AMR foodborne bacterial migrations via the food-chain.
3) Mechanisms for the development and dissemination of bacteria AMR along the food chain.
4) Allelic functional variation for Salmonella virulence genes.
5) The mechanism by which regulated nontyphoid Salmonella invasive infections.
6) Culturomics: application in domesticated and companion animals.
Qualifications:
• The candidate is required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biology/medical/veterinary science.
• Excellent scientific track record, including at least one paper as the first author in high quality, peer-reviewed international journals.
• Prior experience with research areas involving Computational Biology and Mathematics would be considered a distinct advantage.
• Prior experience in bacterial is not essential but would be considered an advantage.
• The candidate should be able to conduct independent and creative research, demonstrate scientific productivity, and show good interpersonal/communication skills.
• Good communication skills.
• An analytical aptitude for devising innovative scientific/technical solutions.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility, confidence.
