Adidas Originals expands their lineup with a handful of new colorways for the month of May. One of those includes this “Glory Red” edition that features a mesh base with ’90s-inspired tubing and suede overlays. Finishing off the design is a Black rubber sole.
Although each silhouette is compelling in its own right, the duo of provide the collection’s most standout styles — one a vivid bumblebee yellow with ink blotch-esque black details, the other a conglomeration of colorful accents on a crisp black base. Meanwhile, the Magmur is put forth in a whimsical white with red, yellow, blue and green pops plus an all-red style that wouldn’t look out of place in the mid-2010s.
Moving on, the Kiellor uses one palette plus one cool mixture of blue shades with a white speckled midsole. A hybrid style, it puts a new upper on top of a Falcon midsole and a toothed outsole. Last but not least, the Sleek Super is dressed up in straightforward white and black. Although this duo may look simple it hides some dashing details, namely colored heel and midfoot branding plus rainbow hits under its thick translucent midsoles/outsoles.
Though hued with tones from all over the , the base is unequivocally neutral as it outfits mostly with white textures: mesh, leathers, nubuck, etc are all given a pure white to slight cream shade, with applications atop doing the brunt in terms of color diversity. Three Stripes overlays at the side break out in a pastel pink, matching that of the tubing that surrounds the heel while closely complementing the toe cap’s purple sheen. Elsewhere, neon greens accent the tread as well as the newly attached Trefoil dubrae that sits boldly along the vamp.
